About Me

I live on the edge of the North York Moors and
although I have been fortunate enough to stand on all seven continents I still regard my local work as the most important.

I've seen the sunset paint the Grand Canyon pink and purple and watched wildebeeste migrating through the Serengetti dawn. I've seen the Northern Lights and the midnight sun and yet the light and drama of the Yorkshire moors and coast never ceases to amaze me. Walking alone at dawn or dusk, there is an overwhelming sense of history that I find totally fascinating.

It's a pretty elusive quality but I hope you can find some of it in my images. I love working in black and white; monochrome concentrates the mind on light and shape and texture. I enjoy the power of its simplicity and the drama it creates.
